Indonesia Online Festival Vol. 2, a creative innovation

IO – Indonesia Online Festival Vol. 2, initiated by creative people from PK Entertainment, was held on 31 July-02 August 2020 on various digital platforms, and proved to be a form of innovation to create a positive digital ecosystem in the era of adaptation to new habits. 

On Monday (3/8/2020), PK Entertainment Group Founder & CEO Peter S. Harjani said the current trend sees people shifting to the online world to fulfill their entertainment needs and information sources. “Entertainment or showbiz in a virtual form is increasingly in demand. So business people or event organizers are competing to enliven the virtual world with various creative events and a variety of entertainment program content,” said Peter. 

To that end, PK Entertainment which is one of the event organizers in Indonesia, is organizing Indonesia Online Fest Vo. 2 by presenting a variety of informative, creative, and entertaining content. “This event also aims to encourage creative industry players to support each other in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic,” he added. 

Peter explained that the event was held online via live YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram, So it can reach all audiences in Indonesia. “As long as there is an internet connection coverage, this Indonesia Online Festival can be witnessed through a computer or cellphone,” he continued. 

Deputy of Tourism Products and Event Organizers Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy/ Tourism and Creative Economy Agency (Kemenparekraf/Baparekraf) Rizki Handayani, appreciated the online activities carried out by PK Entertainment to help each other, encourage, entertain, and provide education to all Indonesian creative industry players. 

“The COVID-19 pandemic indeed has exerted a big impact on the tourism industry and the creative community, but on the other hand this pandemic encourages us to continue to increase creativity and innovation in producing quality events,” commented Rizki Handayani. 

The online festival consists of a variety of event concepts, ranging from virtual bazaars, watching together, meeting online fans, cosplay competitions, online workshops, webinars, online classes that are both educational and personal development, talk shows with well-known speakers from industry players, and competitions esports. 

“The speakers present provided interesting knowledge and experiences for all participants on topics relevant to the current situation, such as telemedicine/telehealth, women’s empowerment, education & digital literacy, entrepreneurship, entertainment, digital marketing, gaming,” Peter concluded.
