Jakarta, IO – Times Higher Education World University Rankings (THE WUR) released its ranking of 2,673 of the best universities from 108 countries and regions for 2024.
It used 18 indicators to measure institutional performance in five areas, namely teaching, research quality, research environment, international outlook and industry, per Kompas Saturday (30/9).
In Indonesia, there are 24 universities that made it to the list. This figure is higher than last year, where only 18 were included.
University of Indonesia (UI) ranked 801-1,000, followed by Airlangga University (Unair), Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), Gadjah Mada University (UGM), Bogor Agricultural University (IPB), Sebelas Maret University (UNS), Syiah Kuala University (USK), Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (ITS) and one private institution Bina Nusantara University (Binus) in the 1,201-1,500.

Other best campus in the 1,501+ are Andalas University (Unand), Brawijaya University (UB), Diponegoro University (Undip), Hasanuddin University (Unhas), Indonesian Islamic University (UII), Jember University (Unej), Lampung University (Unila), Surabaya State University (Unesa), Padjadjaran University (Unpad), Indonesia University of Education (UPI), Sriwijaya University (Unsri), Malang State University (UM), North Sumatra University (USU), Telkom University and Yogyakarta State University (UNY).
