Jakarta, IO – Mexican airport officials made a horrific discovery when checking a package that was about to be shipped to Manning, South Carolina during the holiday season. Four human skulls wrapped in plastic and aluminium foil were found inside, reported Detik, Monday (2/1).
The gruesome findings were revealed after Mexican National Guard personnel were called to Queretaro Intercontinental Airport after an X-ray screening found strange objects in a cardboard box.
The officers said the package originated from Apatzingan, a city in the west-central region of the Michoacan state, one of the most violent places in Mexico. The city itself has long been known as the stronghold of Los Viagras drug cartel.

The Mexican National Guard did not provide details about the age, identity and possible motives. But regardless of how the skull was obtained or whether it was intended for medical study, the action could potentially violate Mexico’s law relating to dealing with dead bodies.
The transfer of human remains or skeletons requires special permission from the competent health authorities. (rr)
