Hamim said that the videos in circulation stem from the soldiers’ spontaneous reaction to Effendi’s statement.
“It is possible that it happened as a spontaneous reaction, not only from soldiers, but also from the community, to a statement by a public figure who is considered to be provocative,” he said.
