This year, JRF starts to use the new technology Non-Fungible Token (NFT). Called the “JogjaROCKarta Festival NFT”, it is JRF’s effort to make use of NFT as the latest technology in terms of digital asset ownership. Based on the block chain technology, NFT ushers in a new era for artists and musicians in terms of preservation of their intellectual rights.
“The JogjaROCKarta Festival pioneers the use of NFT technology in rock music festivals in Indonesia. SerMorpheus is extremely proud to be part of the history of Indonesia’s biggest rock and metal event. It is the first rock music festival in Indonesia to issue tickets using the NFT technology,” said Kenneth Destian Tali, SerMorpheus’ CEO.

By using the SerMorpheus app, visitors can buy the JogjaROCKarta NFT ticket using Rupiah currency. There is no need for them to go through the bother of procuring crypto-assets just to get tickets. By implementing the NFT technology, Rajawali is making sure that there will be no fake tickets sold for their event. The JogjaROCKarta NFT ticket is not your garden variety ticket either: visitors will get real-life benefits during the event, depending on the type of NFT they get. “We love the inclusiveness of this event – this is what we are supporting.
