IO, Jakarta – Yogyakarta continues to offer enchanting sights to see. Every year, there is always a bustling tourist spot discussed and crowded by tourists despite the fact that, the place has always been visited since a long time. According to the World Tourism Organization (WTO) most people today are more interested to travel to find a place that is still beautiful and natural. When talking about beaches, then Gunungkidul, has been the primary spot visited continuously. Dozens of beautiful beaches in the district are lined up along the shoreline with various nuances. One of them, is Sedahan Beach. Sedahan beach has a coastline of approximately 100 meters with clear sea water, clean, and free of garbage. This is the waves of this typical southern coastal area, and on the right side of the beach there is a cliff and protrudes slightly into the sea. From here, you can watch the beautiful scenery in the afternoons while watching the sunset.

Besides watching the scenery, there are some activities that can be done in Sedahan beach. For example, fishing and camping. Camping on the beach has attracted keen interest lately amongst the tourists who visit this beach. In addition to enjoying the atmosphere of the beach all day, you do not have to go far to look for a hotel once you set up your tent here. Only, you need to bring your own camping equipment because there is no company or local residents who rents the equipments at the beach Sedahan.

Sedahan beach is located in the village Jepitu, District Girisubo, Gunung Kidul Regency. The distance from the center of Yogyakarta is about 75 kilometers and can be reached in 2 hours using a two-wheeler vehicle and four wheeler. However, tourists should be careful in driving, because access to the beach  is not so good. You also have to pass through the hills and fields of the people to reach Sedahan. Since, the access road is still not good, many people are reluctant to come to this tourist attraction. However, once you get to the beach, your fatigue will be paid off. Sedahan beach is also very suitable for those who want to find peace from the frenetic urban areas.

The price of admission to the location of this beach is not too expensive, you only need to pay Rp 5,000. With the admission ticket, you can roam around the beaches. If you are interested in camping on the beach, there are some things you need to prepare, one of which is physical stamina. Firstly, you must ensure that the state of your body is in a healthy and fit condition. Secondly, when you arrive at the tourist spot you can not use the vehicle you rode, you are required to walk two kilometers over the hills that are slippery and have lots of ups and downs.

Also, do not forget, to bring the camping equipments such as carrier, trash bag, flashlight, rain jacket, navigation tools, survival kits, as well as cookware and mineral water. As one of the tourist destinations that have not been visited frequently by many travelers, Sedahan beach is one of the attractions that should be on your to-do-list. (Aldo)
