Jakarta, IO – Health Ministry (Kemenkes) said after Covid-19 XBB variant was detected in Indonesia, daily cases, hospitalizations and deaths have continued to climb, even almost doubling in the past six weeks.
According to the Health Ministry data, the total number of cases fuelled by the new variant have reached 48. In total, there are seven provinces that have seen spike in cases, said Health Ministry spokesperson Dr. Mohammad Syahril on Saturday (12/11).
“As of November 9, in a seven-day rolling period, we recorded 30 provinces experiencing an increase in cases, and 4 provinces experiencing a decrease in cases, and yesterday’s confirmed cases stood at 6,186,” he said.
