Jakarta, IO – Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin said the antibody or immunity level of the Indonesian people against Covid-19 has continued to increase.
“Since January 2022, 87 percent of Indonesians already have antibody titer averaging at 400,” Budi said, reported Republika, Tuesday (17/1).
Budi said Indonesia is considered relatively safe from Covid-19 flare-up between mid-to late 2022 which saw a spike of cases in China, Japan and several European countries and North America.
“In six months, as many as 98 percent of Indonesia’s population had had immunity against Covid-19 at an antibody titer of 2,000,” he said.
The Health Ministry (Kemenkes), which conducted the research in collaboration with the University of Indonesia’s Faculty of Public Health, is expected to release the results in the next one to two weeks.

“During two Covid-19 waves, we were doing fine while cases went up in China and Europe. Our society is strong,” said Budi. (at)
