President Joko Widodo on Monday (18/7) held a limited cabinet meeting to address the Covid-19 issue. The President also urged returning haj pilgrim to get booster shots.
Budi confirmed that booster jabs have been proven effective in providing extra protection from the risk of hospitalization or death.
“The majority of deaths were people who had not been vaccinated or who had only been vaccinated once. Meanwhile, those who have been vaccinated twice have a significantly lower risk of fatalities when exposed. Those who are boosted have an even lower risk,” he concluded. (rr)
