Jakarta, IO – Gunadarma University vice chancellor for student affairs confirmed that the sexual harassment and bullying that occurred at the Gunadarma campus, Depok, has been handled by the police.
Through a media release received on Wednesday (14/12), Gunadarma University explained the chronology of the incident. It all started when news of sexual harassment against female students spread. The perpetrator was allegedly a student at the university.
On Sunday (11/12), around 1 p.m. WIB, Gunadarma Student Affairs Department proactively established communication with the victim to obtain information on what she had gone through.
“Furthermore, on Sunday (11/12) around 4:30 p.m. WIB at the university’s Campus E in Kelapa Dua, Depok, the student affairs department summoned the alleged perpetrator for questioning,” he said.
After that, on Monday (12/12), Gunadarma University also spoke with two students who were victims of the sexual harassment.
