GBS has succeeded in showing its pop side through this new single, but still applies strong blues rock and R&B music. The combination of the lyrics written by Gugun and the rhythmic bass by Fajar, combined with the thumping drums by Bowie managed to make “Jingga” a single worth listening to.

“This single was created to produce something ‘fresh’ from GBS, so that it can reach and be enjoyed by wider audience who may think that our blues rock genre is too heavy,” he said.

Gugun does not deny the desire to “update” his music according to the current trend by Indonesian musicians. However, GBS doesn’t want to throw away the taste of blues rock even though it has to be mixed with today’s pop music genre.
