Jakarta, IO – Workers grow vegetables using the hydroponic system at Greenville Farm, West Jakarta.
The farm was established at the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020 because growing vegetables was one of the activities exempt from social restrictions at that time. A sports venue was converted into a hydroponic vegetable farm in Tanjung Duren, West Jakarta.
Greenville Farm is known for its largest greenhouse in Jakarta, where 12 varieties of vegetables are grown. It can produce up to 1.2 tons of vegetables in each harvest cycle, which averages 26 to 36 days.
