The Health Ministry plans to increase the number of routine immunizations to 14 types of vaccines from previously 11.
“We will make cervical cancer vaccination mandatory as preventive measure. It’s better for us to prevent so we can live more productively,” said Budi.
Budi explained that one of the reasons the government includes HPV vaccine as part of the routine immunization programs is because cervical cancer is one of the most common diseases that kills many Indonesian women. (un)
