Jakarta, IO – The government will renovate Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII) cultural theme park through Rp1.2 trillion allocation from the Public Works and Housing Ministry’s 2022 budget.

Public Works and Housing Minister Basuki Hadimuljono said the budget was quite large because the renovation will be quite massive, CNN Indonesia reported on Friday (10/6).

He said TMII will become one of the G20 venues. TMII revitalization is one of the infrastructure works assigned to the ministry.

“TMII will undergo massive renovation like in GBK [Gelora Bung Karno sports complex]. We will upgrade the lakes, roads, buildings, parking lots, etc. Hopefully it will become more beautiful, because we haven’t touched it for a long time,” explained Basuki.
