Jakarta, IO – In order to cater to VVIP flights of the G20 delegates, the Transportation Ministry (Kemenhub) has restricted regular flights to and from Bali from November 13-17.

Transportation Ministry spokesperson Adita Irawati said on Thursday (10/11) that the restriction applies to regular domestic and international flights. “We urge the public to re-schedule their trip and anticipate changes in flight schedules to and from Bali,” said Adita.

The Transportation Ministry has issued Circular 12/2022 on Flight Operational Arrangements during the G20 Summit at Ngurah Rai Airport, Bali, to alert stakeholders in the transportation sector to make some flight arrangements.

The circular stipulates operating hours extension to 24 hours and commercial flights are prohibited from parking overnight (Remain Over Night/RON). The implementation will begin on November 12-18 at I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport. Meanwhile, the flight restriction will be implemented from November 13-17.

The peak of state guest arrivals (VVIP) is estimated to happen on November 13 and their departure on November 16. To anticipate this, the Transportation Ministry has carried out intensive coordination with relevant ministries/agencies and all stakeholders in the aviation sector.
