Jakarta, IO – The government officially appointed Maudy Ayunda as the spokesperson for Indonesia’s G20 Presidency. Maudy is considered a smart young figure and is able to reach out to the community, especially youth, to understand the substance and importance of G20.
Communication and Information Ministry spokesperson Dedy Permadi said the involvement of youth is very important because the key issues brought up at the G20 forum would determine the sustainability of Indonesia and the world in the future.

“Thus, we need a figure who can bridge G20 with the nation’s next generation. Maudy Ayunda was appointed because she can reach Generation Z and millennials who make up the majority of the population,” said Dedy on Thursday (7/4).
