Jakarta, IO – VietJet, which went viral for its head-turning bikini-clad flight attendants, officially flew to Bali from Ho Chi Minh City on Thursday (28/4).
President Director of PT Angkasa Pura I Faik Fahmi said its plane coded VJ894 landed on the runway of I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport at 13.38 local time, carrying 201 passengers. The inaugural flight was welcome by a ceremonial water salute by aircraft rescue and firefighting truck belonging to PT Angkasa Pura I, Detik reported on Friday (29/4).
“The return of the airline proves that Bali is still a favourite international destination in the eye of global holidaymakers. We are optimistic that the reopening of this route can support the growth of international flights to Bali, and directly contribute to the Balinese economy,” said Faik.
