As part of the cultural performance, Indonesia showcased angklung and authentic Indonesian cuisine. While for tourism, Indonesia promotes the country’s top tourist destinations.
“The angklung performance, led by Budi S. Putra, was enthusiastically received by the people of New Zealand. There were several songs played including Kopi Dangdut and Es Lilin. After watching the angklung performance, Wellington residents were invited to play angklung together,” Fientje explained.

This year’s Wellington Lantern Festival featured 350 lanterns with various shapes, from animals to landmark buildings, which represented the unique symbols of each country. A total of 13 embassies in Wellington participated. (rr)
