IO – At Gerindra Party’s consolidation in East Java, Secretary-General of Gerindra Ahmad Muzani instructed those present to arrange witness preparation for the upcoming 2024 elections to start immediately, as one of the points he made during a briefing to Gerindra’s branch management (PAC) and regional branches for Surabaya City and Sidoarjo Regency, at the Empire Hotel, Surabaya, Saturday (2/26/2022).
Muzani urges all PAC members and their branches to prepare by maintaining consolidation at the grassroots, including briefing witnesses at each polling station. “We have to learn from the previous elections. We have to leave no stone unturned. Watch our votes. The witnesses must be prepared from now on, because 2024 is the time for Chairman Prabowo to become President. Solidity and consolidation must continue and become stronger. Watch the people’s voice, because it is the people’s mandate. The voice of the people is the voice of God,” said Muzani.
“That’s why we set up branches, PACs, and DPCs (branch executive boards) all across Indonesia. Why? Because those are where the Party moves. Gerindra Party was built from the bottom. It was built by the people. This Party belongs to the poor,” added Muzani.
Muzani believes that a leader must possess strong leadership skills, because every political decision made will directly impact the people. A leader must be able to resolve the nation’s challenges. Muzani is confident that Gerindra Party General Chairman Prabowo Subianto has that quality.
“Political decision-making is the critical factor. Why does the cooking oil issue drag on? It’s because of political decisions. To have the vaccines free or not is a political decision. Self-isolation after traveling abroad is also politics. It means that the state’s policies will be determined by political decisions. We need to search for a leader who comprehends, is capable of decision-making and governing the state, and has the nerve to make decisions in the most difficult situations,” explained Muzani.
Muzani said Gerindra Party’s components and cadres must begin political exploration. He urges cadres to approach the people closest to them, such as friends, family, communities and those living in the hamlets.
“Convince them that Chairman Prabowo is the most qualified figure. And we realize that there is no other way to #2024PrabowoPresiden but to work hard, to work relentlessly. Because we are also determined to win the election and gain the largest number of seats in the Parliament,” declared Muzani. (des)
