Muzani said this fact became an important basis for Indonesia to use its influence as the G20 Presidency, to reduce the tension between Ukraine and Russia.
“As the G20 chair, President Jokowi’s decision to carry out a peace mission in Ukraine and Russia is an important and strategic step to quell a protracted war,” he said.

Muzani explained that the crisis caused by the war has disrupted the global economic recovery and supply chain. He also hopes that G20 member countries will participate in efforts to reopen economic cooperation with Ukraine and Russia.
“This problem must be immediately addressed by countries that have strong influence such as Indonesia and countries that are members of the G7 and G20,” said the Deputy Speaker of the People’s Consultative Assembly (MPR). (un)
