Much like the 955 Solar, the Forerunner 255 Music and Forerunner 255S Music can store up to 500 songs right on the watch, including playlists from Spotify® and Amazon Music (a premium subscription may be required) from an iOS or Android™ smartphone. It can also connect to users’ wireless headsets for phone free listening.
Runners and triathletes can further benefit from the device by syncing indoor and outdoor workouts automatically from Garmin Connect™, the Tacx training app and other third-party platforms. The Forerunner 255 Series is also compatible with Garmin Coach, which provides free 5K, 10K and half-marathon training plans that adapt based on a runner’s goals and performance.

Releasing at the same time, each of the series has its own benefits that can be adjusted to the needs of runners. Forerunner 955 is available with solar and non-solar charging, and Forerunner 255 with the edition of Forerunner 255 and Forerunner 255S, as well as Forerunner 255 Music and Forerunner 255S Music. The various options for each series offer flexibility for users to choose the suitable watch according to their needs and preferences.
