Jakarta, IO – Several foreign tourists have submitted a petition to South Kuta administration because they felt disturbed by the shrill sound of crowing roosters in the morning, reported Detik, Friday (3/3).

The Peace and Order Department (Trantib) of South Kuta District received a petition by 10 foreign nationals staying at the long-established Anumaya Bay View homestay, Jimbaran on Thursday (2/3). Its head I Kadek Agus Alit Juwita said the incident started when a Russian citizen took object to a rooster crowing at the homestay because he felt it was so noisy.

Even though he found it amusing, Kadek said he tried to talk to the owner of the roosters, Made Yadya.

“Yesterday we tried to convey to Made Yadya that his chickens be relocated some distance away from the homestay,” he said.

However, Made Yadya refused, hence the petition. “We will see what the final decision is, whether there will be compensation given,” he said. (rr)
