It’s capital city, Willemstad, is 444 square kilometers (almost the same as Palembang, South Sumatra) and has a population of 158,665 people (comparable to the population of Baubau City, Southeast Sulawesi).
In the past two years, Curacao has players against bigger teams. In October last year, it met Bahrain and New Zealand for a friendly match, while in May it faced Ajax Amsterdam. Curacao is also used to play against countries in a zone that often qualify for the World Cup, unlike Southeast Asia which so far has never compete in the World Cup finals.

Their players also play for teams in the Championship, the second tier of the English football league for some of the top clubs, including Cardiff City and Birmingham City.
