Jakarta, IO – The Indonesian national soccer team (Timnas) is scheduled to face off against Curacao today (24/9) at the Gelora Bandung Lautan Api (GBLA) Stadium, Bandung, for the first leg and on Tuesday (27/9) at Pakansari Stadium, Bogor, for the second leg.

According to Bolanet, Timnas coach Shin Tae-yong, during a press conference on Friday (23/9) admitted that it would not be easy to beat Curacao, especially as Indonesia is far behind in the FIFA ranking. Cucacao, nicknamed La Familia Azul, currently ranks 84th versus Indonesia’s 155th.

“Curacao’s FIFA ranking is higher than Indonesia. So I want to see whether our team can play well against this strong team, and also whether we can play the game we want,” said Shin Tae-yong. According to the former South Korea coach, Timnas must meet stronger teams if it wants to improve.
