In the letter, Sambo apologized to his seniors and fellow high-ranking officers, middle-ranking officers, first officers and fellow non-commissioned officers of the National Police.
“With pure intentions, I would like to express my deep regret and apologies for the direct impact on senior positions and colleagues within the Indonesian National Police for what I have done,” Sambo wrote.

“I am also ready to accept responsibility and bear all the legal consequences. Hopefully, this regret and apology can be accepted and I am ready to undergo this legal process properly so that I can immediately get a fair decision which gives a sense of justice for all parties.” (rr)
