Jakarta, IO – Febri Diansyah, the former spokesman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) will officially become members of murder suspect Putri Candrawathi’s defense team. Putri is the wife of fired police ex-internal affairs chief Ferdy Sambo, who is suspected of ordering the assassination of Brigadier J, his former aide.
“I was asked to join the defence team in relation to the case that happened several weeks ago. After I studied the case and met with Ibu Putri, I told her that even though I am willing to become her lawyer, I will always be objective and look at all the facts,” said Febri, as reported by Detik on Thursday (29/9).
Apart from Febri, there are three other lawyers who will defend Ferdy Sambo and Putri Candrawati. They are Arman Hanis, Sarmauli Simangunsong and Rasamala Aritonang. The last one mentioned is also a former KPK employee who joins Visi Law Office.

Febri served as KPK’s head of public relations department in 2016. He resigned on September 18, 2020 and officially left the anti-graft body on October 18 the same year. After leaving the KPK, Febri Diansyah opened a law firm with his colleague Donal Fariz. (un)
