Prabowo’s “safari” visit to strengthen social bonds (silaturahmi) started from Yogyakarta to a number of cities in East Java. One of the most important agendas for Prabowo is to pay homage to the grave of Indonesian fourth president Abdurrahman “Gus Dur” Wahid on Wednesday (4/5).
Accompanied by KH Abdul Hakim “Gus Kikin” Mahfudz, the caretaker of the Tebuireng Islamic Boarding School, Prabowo commemorated the figure of Gus Dur whom he considered a visionary figure.

“Yes, Gus Dur is a leader whose views were ahead of his time. He was also my friend and I was his masseur. I was very close to him,” Prabowo said as reported by Merdeka, Thursday (5/5).
