“Each DPD [regional executive board] will convey their respective aspirations regarding the presidential candidate to be nominated by the party. Pak Prabowo will then make the decision regarding his readiness [to run in 2024],” said Irfan.
Irfan further said that it is likely that the vice-presidential candidate nominated by the DPDs will be announced at the rapimnas.

Initially, the rapimnas was scheduled to be held on Saturday (30/7). However, it was deferred to Saturday (13/8) at ICC Sentul, Bogor. The event is highly anticipated as Prabowo Subianto, a frontrunner in many election polls, is expected to announce his 2024 presidential bid. (rr)
