Jakarta, IO – Gerindra Party deputy chair Irfan Yusuf Hasyim said in the upcoming national leaders meeting (rapimnas) chairman Prabowo Subianto wants to listen firsthand the aspirations of party cadres from across the regions as manifestation of the democratic spirit upheld by the party, even though he has received a mandate at the party’s 2020 congress to decide on the party’s political direction in the 2024 elections.
“Gerindra Party congress two years ago gave the chairman the mandate to chart the party’s direction toward the 2024 elections. However, Pak Prabowo wants to be more democratic, so he wants to hear aspirations from the regions,” he said, as reported by Antara on Thursday (11/8).
Irfan said one of the rapimnas agenda is to address the current political situation and get input from regional party leaders and party wings.
