Jakarta, IO – Russian Ambassador to Indonesia Lyudmila Vorobieva said the Russian army had never harmed Ukrainian civilians. According to her, the photos and videos making their rounds on social media can be misleading.
“Since World War II the tradition of the Russian (Soviet) armed forces was not to attack civilians. For example, when entering German territory, ordinary German civilians were not harmed, there was no cruelty, no violence. Instead, they were given food,” said Ambassador Lyudmila, as reported by Liputan 6, Thursday (9/6).
Lyudmila also stressed that there was misinformation related to the attack in Donetsk. She said it came from a location controlled by the Ukrainian army. She also denied any military activity in Svyatogorsk, a historic region.
“The Russian Ministry of Defense has emphasized that the Russian Armed Forces located north of Svyatogorsk did not carry out combat operations in this area and bombed the territory of the Svyatogorsk Historical and Architectural Reserve,” Lyudmila insisted.
