Jakarta, IO – The Democratic Party tried to persuade Golkar to leave its two coalition partners PPP and PAN in the United Indonesia Coalition (KIB).

“We are still looking forward to Golkar to form a coalition, we think that the two of us are enough,” said Democratic Party’s research and development division head Syahrial Nasution, as reported by Detik, Wednesday (6/7).

He explained that the presence of the Democratic Party chairman Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) in several high-level political gatherings was a step forward in finding solutions to issues plaguing the nation. One of them, he said, is a coalition with Golkar even though the party led by Airlangga Hartarto has now joined KIB.
