Jakarta, IO – The Democratic Party is ready to provide legal assistance to Papua Governor Lukas Enembe, who has been named as a suspect in a bribery case by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).
The statement was delivered personally by Democratic Party chairman Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY). He emphasized that this legal aid team will support all Democratic Party cadres who are facing legal cases.
“According to the party policy, the Democratic Party will prepare a legal aid team if needed,” said AHY, as reported by CNN Indonesia, Thursday (29/9).
AHY emphasized that the Democratic Party supports law enforcement efforts, including to eradicate corruption. Therefore, the Democratic Party will respect the ongoing legal process, he said.
