Jakarta, IO – Workers finish making custom electric bikes at the Strum workshop, Jakarta, (19/9). The workshop, which was established two years ago, accepts custom electric bikes and conversions of conventional bikes into retro-styled electric bikes with modifications according to orders.
According to the owner Fikri, after the increase of electric motorbike users in Jakarta, his workshop has been visited by many bike lovers who want to modify their bikes into electric bikes. Most of his customers also come from bicycle communities around areas in Tangerang and Jakarta.

To convert a conventional bike into an electric bike, it takes several days depending on the customer’s request and the installation of the equipment. It costs between Rp5 million and Rp6 million to convert a customer’s electric bike. (IO/Septo Kun Wijaya)
