Jakarta, IO – State-run bus company DAMRI, which serves routes from the airport, has provided special lanes for people with disabilities.

DAMRI corporate secretary Chrystian Pohan said this was done to improve services, as well as support the government’s Human Rights-Based Public Service (P2HAM) program.

“DAMRI will gradually implement it in all head offices, branches, and pools so that all customers’ activities are not limited,” said Pohan, as per Kompas, Wed (28/8).

“Ease of service for people with disabilities is part of an effort to provide the best service,” she added.

This special lane has been implemented in the busiest and most densely populated area for travelers, namely at the Kemayoran pool, which serves various fleets, ranging from AKAP (intercity and interprovincial) and Soekarno-Hatta International Airport routes.

In addition to the special lane, the company has prepared wheelchairs, directional signs, and other support facilities. (un)
