Dafam cares – the beauty of sharing & caring

IO, Semarang – The world is currently faced with a challenge, which is to overcome a global crisis that has spread everywhere: the Covid-19 pandemic. This pandemic has had quite a serious impact on the tourism industry and one aspect of this is the hospitality business. 

Responding quickly to the complexity of the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic in the tourism sector, especially hospitality, which has direct implications for casual workers and the community around the hotel, PT Dafam Hotel Management (DHM), along with all stakeholders including the Directors, Hotel Owners, leaders – the head of the hotel unit (General Manager/Villa Manager) moved together to take part in the “Dafam Cares” program with the theme “The Beauty of Sharing, Caring and Enjoying Gratitude”. 

This activity was held simultaneously on April 20, 2020 in all hotel units under the auspices of PT Dafam Hotel Management, starting from Pekanbaru, Lubuk Linggau, Jakarta, Bandung, Pekalongan, Cilacap, Purwokerto, Kebumen, Semarang, Yogyakarta, Banjarbaru, Jember, Surabaya, Lombok, Lombok and Bali. 

“Dafam Cares” this time is devoted to sharing to casual workers who are directly affected by the COVID-19 pandemic in all DHM hotel units throughout Indonesia, and to share to the community around the hotel in the form of groceries and cash which are led by the DHM CEO Andhy Irawan and PT DPI Tbk President Director Billy Dahlan. 

“Dafam Cares” is a vehicle for the spirit and awareness of corporate social responsibility for humanity, which is packaged in various social activities and inspiring campaigns. 

“This program is both an embodiment of Dafam’s two corporate values, namely ‘The principle of caring for others and the environment’ and ‘Benefits for family, community, nation, and country,’ said Andhy Irawan, CEO of PT DHM. 

Dafam Hotel Management remains committed to providing the best service and staying operational throughout Indonesia (except in Lombok). In the current condition in the COVID 19 pandemic phase, all hotels faithfully prioritize the Covid-19 protocol for handling hotel operations, services, guests, and employees. 

“Even though the COVID-19 pandemic has exerted a huge impact on the hotel industry, this did not make us lose our enthusiasm to continue working, always caring and giving the best for customers, employees and also the public, as taught by Soleh Dahlan, President Commissioner of the Dafam Group,” added PT DHM Corporate Public Relations Ninik Haryanti through a written statement, Monday, April 20, 2020.
