Here are the 12 rights granted to convicts based on the law:
(1) has the right to worship according to his religion or belief; (2) get physical and spiritual treatment; (3) get education, teaching, and recreational activities as well as opportunities to develop potential; (4) obtain health services and proper food in accordance with nutritional needs; (5) obtain information services; (6) obtain legal counseling and legal assistance; (7) submit complaints; (8) obtain reading materials and participate in mass media broadcasts that are not prohibited; (9) receive humane treatment and be protected from acts of torture, exploitation, neglect, violence, and all actions that harm [one] physically and mentally; (10) obtain work safety guarantees, wages, or rewards; (11) obtain social services; and (12) accept or refuse visits from family, attorney, companion, and the community.
