Jakarta, IO – A couple named Santi Warastuti and Sunarta made the headlines last week when they carried a large poster that reads “Please, my son needs medical marijuana” at Car Free Day event in Jakarta, Sunday (26/6). The couple brought along their wheelchair-bound child who suffers from cerebral palsy.
They hope that marijuana, which is included in the list of Class 1 narcotics, can be allowed to be used for medical purposes. Their action has since ignited public debate on the legalization of medical marijuana.
