Constitutional Coup, Igniting the Flame of Revolution

Luhut’s disguise was then exposed, because he stated baldly that he knew nothing about a move to postpone the election.

Fourth, the blunders roared onward, more dreadful and ruthless. Moves were more irrational and chaotic. The Association of Indonesian Village Governments or APDESI was exploited. This is a group that is not supposed to involve itself in practical politics, but then they were manipulated to declare support for Jokowi’s third term of office.

Embarrassing it was that in just a matter of a few hours, the ruse was exposed. According to the Law and Human Rights Ministry, APDESI was not even a legitimate organization.

All the air has leaked out of Luhut and Jokowi’s reputations; they have gone kaput. Controversy bred big lies. The public harbored a suspicion that an extension of the term of office might actually be a backroom deal of the “imperial” members: Luhut or maybe Jokowi himself?

Ergo, all devious roads have been blocked. The attempts to postpone the election or to propose a three-term Jokowi tenure must be finally put to rest.

Any possible way to allow those notions to become reality have become unviable. Except for one: the authorities could declare a “state of emergency”, so that no election could be held. Maybe the plotters fail to realize that this would be the biggest blunder of all – one that would immediately ignite the fires of revolution, because the people would recognize that the phony “emergency” is merely fabricated. In the blink of an eye, the Government could collapse. Beware!
