The tender was held and it turned out that the two selected companies belonged to Irfan. Irfan has received payment in full, but there are several work items that did not meet the specifications, one of which being the absence of cargo doors and a different number of seats.
“The alleged actions by suspect IKS violated Defense Minister Decree 17/2014 on the implementation of the procurement of primary weapon systems within the Defense Ministry and the Indonesian Armed Forces. As a result, the state incurred an estimated loss of Rp224 billion from the contract value of Rp738.9 billion,” said Firli.
Irfan was also accused of violating Article 2(1) or Article 3 of Law 31/1999 as amended by Law 20/2001 on the eradication of criminal acts of corruption in conjunction with Article 55 (1.1) of the Indonesian Penal Code. (rr)
