Despite being 180cm tall, Yolla Yuliana admitted to having never played basketball in her school years – simply because she was never interested in basketball. “Volleyball has always been my favorite sport,” admitted Yolla, who joined the junior national volleyball team at the age of 15.

The Head of the Indigenous Peoples Initiative (IMA), Nukila Evanty, is deeply involved in advocacy campaigns to protect the rights of indigenous peoples. Cinta Laura Kiehl is honored to have been selected as the local ambassador for the 2023 FIBA World Cup which Indonesia, Japan and the Philippines will co-host. Cinta was appointed ambassador on Tuesday, July 11, at the Indonesia Gelora Bung Karno Jakarta Arena, where the two preliminary round groups will take place. Cinta is the country’s second ambassador, following Raffi Ahmad. 

The 2023 FIBA World Cup, a world-class basketball competition, will take place in Indonesia, one of the hosting countries, along with The Philippines and Japan. The Indonesia Arena at the Gelora Bung Karno complex in Senayan, Jakarta, will host two preliminary round championship groups, G and H, while four other groups will meet in Manila, Philippines, and two more will meet in Okinawa, Japan. The preliminary rounds of the FIBA World Cup 2023 are scheduled from August 23 to September 3; the following rounds will take place in the Philippines, with the final round on September 10. 

Zahra Muzdalifah, an Indonesian female footballer, was finally recruited by the Japanese club Cerezo Osaka and signed a one-year deal with Cerezo Osaka Yanmar Ladies after three and a half months of trials.
