Burger menu delights from Michelin Star chef

 IO, Jakarta – Hotel Alila SCBD Ja­karta is not yet operational, but the premium level accommodation con­tinuously warms up by launching reputable restaurants to support its business. After opening Vong Kitchen in April 2018, this August they opened another restaurant called Le Burger, a more casu­al and youthful place to eat. The menu presented in this restaurant is quite simple: burgers and com­plementary dishes such as lettuce, french fries and onion rings. What distinguishes Le Burger from oth­er burger shops is the ingredients used and the secret recipe from chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten. For the menu, Jean-Gorges offers six types of burgers and one hotdog with a choice of burgers such as cheese burgers, shrimp, chicken, goats, vegetarian, until beef wrapped in truffle mush­room sauce.

The restaurant was curated by Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten with his son Cedric Vongrichten and headed by Chef Luisa Fernan­da Caicedo. Chef Jean-George has a long history in the culinary world. When he was 29 years old, he was the youngest chef to receive a four-star review in The New York Times. In the 1980s, he led the evolution of French cuisine in New York. His restaurant in New York even won a Michelin Star title and was named the best French restaurant in the United States. Thus, the delights of Le Burger’s burgers need not be doubted. Moreover, some burg­er creations owned by Colombian Chef Luisa Fernando are unique. Starting from T ruffle Burger, Shrimp Burger, to Kimchi Dog.

The restaurant located on the side of Alila SCBD Jakarta carries a relaxed design and is divided into two areas: semi-outdoor and in­door. The design is thick with in­dustrial nuances with neon signs and iron benches and wood mate­rials. With this concept, Le Burger deliberately collaborates with Rock­well Group. The name Rockwell Group itself is very popular in the world of architecture.

All ingredients used in each dish are guaranteed fresh. Le Burger even even has a soft, slightly sa­vory and chewy burger bun. This is because the bread is made by one of the bakeries in Jakarta with a mixture of potatoes. The flagship menu is Truffle Burger, a beef patty combined with truffle sauce to brie cheese. “This (fried potatoes) is covered with cheese sauce, spicy mayon­naise, caramelized onion, pickled cucumber, and jalapeno peppers,” explained Chef Luisa to the Inde­pendent Observer. The experience of eating different burgers can be obtained by Jakarta residents un­til the early hours of the morning. Because Le Burger is open until 5am on Fridays to Sundays.
