IO – Jakarta City is full of skyscrapers, still leaving some old buildings that still survive. Jakarta does have a long history since the Indies era until now. The capital of this country continues to groom and grapple with the progress of the times. Old buildings that still exist, mostly have renovated and redesigned it to restaurant. One of them is Bunga Rampai.

Bunga Rampai is located on Jl. Teuku Cik Ditiro, Menteng, Central Jakarta. From the outside, the restaurant that stood since 7 July 2007 looks like a Dutch colonial house with luxurious interior and decor in it. Some people say that, the restaurant is quite difficult to find because if when we randomly glance, it looks like a small white house, but in fact, this building consists of 3 floors with a small cafe inside the restaurant. Each floor is estimated to accommodate up to 80 people with different concept designs.

The restaurant is on the 1st floor, there is a wide area in the center with several large tables and 2 private rooms. The small one is on the left side, and the other is at the behind the waiting room. The lounge itself is luxuriously designed with a classic and elegant look. There is also a large VIP room that can be filled upto 16 people with red crystal Chandelier as a decoration, suitable for family gathering events.

On the 2nd floor, the theme is more towards modern dining. The decor is magnificent and luxurious, taking you into a large dining room in a castle. Each side has a different concept. As for the 3rd floor brings the concept of rooftop fine dining. This place is really great and has perfect lighting.

One of the menus often ordered here is Nasi Buketan. Buketan rice is steamed flavored pandanus rice served with sliced omelet, beef satay, spicy fried chicken, potato curry with shrimp, corn fritters, sweet soy cake, sweet potato chips, bilimbi chili peanut sauce and shrimp crackers. For drinks, Cikiniku is one of the special drink in Bunga Rampai. Cikiniku is a combination of citrus fruits, soursop and lemon served in tall glasses with a refreshing taste.

Bunga Rampai has become a great place to hold important events and celebrations. The Main Course and appetizer tastes delicious, although the prices have been set quite high, but it is worth it because on a particular menu, Bunga Rampai presents it with high artistic value. This restaurant also received a lot of appreciation from abroad, because it has managed to serve Indonesian cuisine from street food to high class cuisines. Bunga Rampai once served their dishes in Davos, Switzerland, as a culinary representative from Indonesia. Bumga Rampai is also a good spot for meeting important people from the government, from local officials to the president. (raihan)
