Second, learn to become optimistic without denying that problems and imperfections exist. Identify the problems you are facing, recognize why they bother you, and focus on finding solutions. Believe that you will be able to overcome these difficulties – that the storm shall pass. 

Third, reframe your negative thoughts. They tend to evoke negative emotions, such as sadness, anxiety, or anger. Transform them into positive and rational thoughts. 

Fourth, don’t limit yourself. Let your mind wander and find unexpected ways and solutions. File any and all things that you find to be interesting – you never know when one of these becomes an “out of the box” alternative to whatever you are facing. 

Fifth, find the humor in situations. Humor is a healthy coping strategy when you are facing a problem, and you can train your mind to find the funny when facing difficulties.

Sixth, help somebody else. “Helping somebody else in difficulty, such as becoming a volunteer in social programs, is a good way to develop your resilience,” dr. Zulvia said. “But it really doesn’t need to be something as fancy as that. Helping an old lady cross the street, uprighting a fallen potted plant, feeding a stray cat, these too will help.” (est)
