Hosting the 2023 FIBA World Cup will be an extraordinary honor and a golden opportunity for Indonesia, an event that so far has only been conducted in developed countries where basketball is popular.

“This will be a very important stage for all basketball local committees to prepare, and we have started well,” said Budi.

He confirmed that the upcoming FIBA World Cup from August 10 to September 25, 2023, will run well, as the local committees will continue to prepare Indonesia to host both elimination rounds.

He went on to emphasize how the preparations from the local committee would continue towards the peak of the FIBA World Cup later on August 25 to September 10, when Indonesia will host the two group stages.

“As a basketball lover, I can’t wait for IMS to be ready. The FIBA monitoring team has been impressed with our preparations,” said Budi, a Gerindra political party politician.
