Jakarta, IO – Bandung residents were shocked by a loud explosion, Wednesday (7/12), coming from Astanaanyar police station around 08:20 a.m. WIB. West Java Police spokesperson Ibrahim Tompo confirmed the incident to Okezone.
“It is true that there has been an explosion. But we are still investigating the cause,” he said.
Meanwhile, according to Antara, the explosion was suspected to have been caused by a suicide bomber. But the perpetrator and number of victims is yet unknown.

Based on a video clip making rounds on social media, residents can be seen running from the direction of the police station. There was thick smoke billowing around the site of the explosion. There are also several images showing the damage caused. (rr)
