Jakarta, IO – The Teladan Music Festival 2022 was a merry success. Held on Saturday (17/12/2022), the Festival was part of the double celebration of the 13th Lustrum of the UNY Sport Complex Yogyakarta and the 65th anniversary of the Teladan 1 National High School Yogyakarta.
At least 3,000 showed up, from all corners of Indonesia. Many of them expressed their joy and declared how they looked forward for the event, as the organizers of Teladan Music Festival succeeded in contracting beloved American boyband Boyz II Men to perform in their event.
Even though this was hardly their first appearance in Indonesia, Shawn Stockman and Wanya Morris have many fans in our country. And naturally, Boyz II Men performed successfully for their fans in the Teladan Music Festival.
“Everyone here! The Boyz II Men would like to say thank you – thank you! We love you and we want everyone here tonight,” shouted Shawn Stockman to his fans in delight.
For two hours, the band performed hits including “Thank You”, “4 Seasons of Loneliness”, “It’s so Hard to Say (I’m Sorry)”, and “On Bended Knee”. They also covered hits from other artists, such as Eric Clapton’s “Wonderful Tonight”, The Beatles’ “Come Together”, and Bruno Mars’ “Locked Out of Heaven”. The 4-time Grammy Award winners also involved local musician Nano Tirta, along with the President Director of the Bank of Central Java, to play the saxophone for their rendition of “I’ll Make Love to You”.
