Sorbact is able to reduce the rate of Surgical Wound Infection (SSI) up to 65%, compared to standard dressings, and is even able to bind 5 main WHO pathogenic bacteria, has no contraindications and a low risk of allergies, so it can be used in newborns, pregnant and lactating women, as well as patients with postoperative and chronic wounds, such as diabetic foot wounds and pressure sores resulting from bed rest. Sorbact technology uses an innovative approach to reduce bioburden in wounds without any chemically active agents, which may help cut the excessive use of antibiotics and improve a patient’s quality of life.
