Jakarta, IO – A number of state officials from Australia comprising Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, Foreign Minister Penny Wong, Trade Minister Don Farrell, Industry Minister Ed Husic, and Member for Solomon Luke Gosling OAM including a high-level delegation of Australian business leaders will hold an Annual Leaders Meeting with President Joko Widodo in Jakarta. The entourage departed from Australia on Sunday (5/6) and will returned on Tuesday (7/6).
The meeting agenda include bilateral trade and investment, climate and energy cooperation, as well as regional and global issues of interests, as per CNN Indonesia, Monday (6/6).
“Our two countries have a long history of cooperation and friendship, and my government will work closely with Indonesia to deepen this,” Albanese said in an official statement.
During this visit, the two sides will also explore potential for a comprehensive Indonesia-Australia economic partnership agreement, including to continue the Australian government’s proposed AU$200 million infrastructure and climate fund partnership with Indonesia.
