Jakarta, IO – After long on the run, Askar a.k.a Jaid a.k.a Pak Guru, member of the East Indonesia Mujahidin (MIT) group was finally shot dead by the Madago Raya Task Force at KM 13 Kilo village, Poso regency, Central Sulawesi, Thursday (29/9) at 18.30 WITA.
“I can confirm that he is the fugitive Askar that we’ve been looking for all this time,” said Central Sulawesi Police chief Insp. Gen. Rudy Sufahriadi, as reported by Antara on Friday (30/9).
He explained that the body matched a number of physical characteristics of Askar, namely long wavy hair, brown complexion, oval face shape and 155 centimeters in height.
