IO, Jakarta – After it was closed to the public and major renovations be­ing done on it in terms of its interior, The Ritz Carlton Jakarta re-opened the Asia Restaurant with a new look. The all-day dining concept restaurant, which is served three times per day, is transformed into an elegant luxury restaurant with a contemporary eclec­tic concept interior. A variety of new or­naments, half moon couches, and the use of herbs give this restaurant a fresh touch. Now the capacity is reduced to 292 people. Before the renovation, the capacity reached upto 500 people espe­cially when there are events. “Now the capacity is smaller because in the front we will open one more restaurant,” said Adeza Hamzah, Cluster Director of Mar­keting Communications.

For those of you who are based in downtown Jakarta and perhaps want to eat Asian buffet, you have come to the right place. In the buffet, you will notice with a more spacious menu counter and there is a new menu op­tion, namely Onigiri Sushi. During this time Asia Restaurant is famous for its buffet menu which is a favorite menu of consumers still available here. Like Meatballs, Hainanese Chicken Rice, and Rib Eye Roast Beef. But there is also a new menu for consumers that has been provided by the restaurant for example, Caesar Salad which is di­rectly mixed in Grana Padano cheese shaped like a large size bowl. This Cae­sar Salad can be equipped with grilled chicken or beef bacon.

For the “Traditional” counter, there is Asian a la Fried Rice cooked direct­ly when ordered. At the “As You Wish” counter, visitors can choose raw food that is processed directly in front of you. Naan bread from India is also at this counter and is one of the favorite menus in Asia Restaurant.

Whilst at the “Noodles” counter there are four choices of new soup. Among other things cow, chicken, vegetarian and laksa. Dim Sum op­tions are now available on the Asian Restaurant buffet menu. For dessert enthusiasts, the new counter appears more modern. Starting from rujak, ice cream, chocolate fondue, and various cakes can be enjoyed at the “Dessert” counter. Raspberry Mousse, Green Tea Velvet, Fruit Tart, Royaltine Hazelnut and Triple Chocolate including des­serts that can be tasted.

To be able to dine at Asia Restau­rant you have to spend money. Break­fast costs IDR 238,000 ++ / person, lunch IDR 318,000 ++ / person, weekday dinner IDR 348,000 ++ / person, weekend dinner IDR 428,000 ++ / person and ‘brunch’ Sunday for IDR 428,000 ++ / person. Later, Asia Restaurant will also introduce an a la carte menu. So that consumers can choose food which is not limited to the buffet menu.
